Sakthi Matriculation Hr.Sec.School is co – educational with English as a medium of instruction. This school was started with the aim of providing quality education for the people in and around Vridhachalam in the year 1990 with 15 Students. The marvelous development of this school is achieved by dedicated work of our correspondent,teachers and students. We have the support of the parents too. Now we have 1070 students and 60 teachers.The motto of our school “Success, Nothing Less”. Every student receives individual and personal attention and the maximum comfort possible. Apart from implementing quality education, we inculcate patriotism, discipline and character building in our students.

SMHSS seeks to guide students to achieve personal excellence and become effective citizens of the world. The school organizes many activities throughout the year where qualities such as leadership and self-discipline are inculcated and there is an emphasis on the individual's intellectual and emotional growth. A number of sports are played at SMHSS, and this gives the students an opportunity to express their individual talents. Drama, Performing Arts, Arts and Design, Debating and Music form a significant part of the curriculum.
